Online Help For Employers

How Do I Log in (Sign In) to My Employer Tools Account?

STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE

  1. Click on "For Employers" in the main navigation section on any of our site pages
  2. Click on the red "Login" link
  3. Enter your Username and Password and click the "Login" button

TIPS & SHORTCUTS

  1. Verify that your Primary Email Address is correct when creating a new account. An incorrect email account or mistyped address is the #1 most common reason for login troubles.
  2. Add us to your "Friends" list in your email client, security software, etc., so important messages, password reminders, etc. will not be blocked.
  3. Check for a new account verification message in your email shortly after creating an account and before you log out. If you do not receive one, edit your account information as needed to make sure the contact information is correct.
  4. Bookmark ("Add to Favorites") the most frequently used tools for direct login. After creating your account the first time, you can log in directly to any employer tool (such as Post Job or Search Resumes) without going through the standard Login page or Employer Tools home page first.
  5. Provide backup login information to the Account Manager. If you are a subuser and your organization has designated one or more Account Managers, consider forwarding a copy of your new account verification message to them for safekeeping in case you ever lose access to your email account.
  6. Don't forget to logout. For your account's security, please be sure to use the red "Log Out" link toward the top any page whenever you have finished a session.

COMMON ISSUES & PROBLEMS

  1. Browser Cookie Preferences Too Restrictive: This site uses cookies to store information about your Account and session activity while you are logged in. If your browser's "privacy" settings are not configured to accept cookies from this site, you may be asked to login repeatedly as you our pages, or prevented from logging in at all.
  2. Browser Script Security Settings Too High: Many functions on this site use JavaScript to perform tasks such as opening and closing new windows, among others.  Your browser's security settings must be configured to allow JavaScript to run or you will not be able access certain functions. In some cases, if your computer also has a "pop-up" blocker or a similar application that prohibits new JavaScript windows from opening, you may need to change the settings for this application, too.
  3. Bad or Forgotten Username or Password: Please verify that these are correct and correctly spelled for the account you are trying to access. If you have forgotten them, click "Forgot your login and password?" and enter the primary email address associated with the account. The system will send a reminder to that address.
  4. I Don't/Can't Receive a Username or Password Reminder Email: If you don't receive a requested email reminder, make sure your email program or server filters are not blocking messages from this site by adding us to your "friends" list.  It may also be that the primary email address on file for your account is different, outdated or, most commonly, mistyped. In this case, please contact us to have us reset your account login, providing as much detail as you can recall about the account (your name, address, number, organization, IMDiversity rep, account number, etc.).
  5. Original Account Manager No Longer with Organization: If you are a new manager who has inherited an account created by another and no longer have access to your predecessor's login info or email account, please contact us right away to set up your account access and guide you through the transition.
  6. Right Login, Wrong Site: Many organizations have accounts on both IMDiversity.com and THE BLACK COLLEGIAN Online, whose pages can appear similar. Please make sure that the username and password match the site you are currently trying to log into.
  7. Account Is Expired or Has Inadequate Permissions: Access to some tools require that permissions be purchased and then authorized for use by the Account Manager (usually the person in your organization who first created the account). If you are frequently asked to log in again after clicking on sections that are inaccessible because you don't have authorization, please contact your Account Manager.
